Established in 2012 by the Williams family in Oregon’s Eola-Amity Hills, X-Omni is a special place. Through diverse clonal selections, X-Omni seeks to create a true site expression of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
This cuvée is based on 100% Chardonnay from block 2 – a rocky section of the vineyard, with shallow soils, and incorporating 14 different clones.
Harvested in mid-September, at perfect ripeness, it was fermented 80% neutral oak and 20% once used oak. It aged for 7 months in barrel, 20 months on the lees in bottle, and was disgorged in February 2021. Only 2 cases were disgorged. The wine will be formally released sometime in 2022 or 2023.
